Family Pet Project is a safe haven for those adopting and those looking to rehome a pet. We aim to make it as easy as possible to adopt a pet while maintaining several protective checkpoints. We use an adoption application process similar to that of a pet rescue, we perform public background checks, and all potential adopters must be approved by our staff of animal welfare experts. And to further negate potential animal abusers and those unwilling to adequately provide for their pets, we do not allow pets to be listed for free.
If you’re looking to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit, ferret, rat, sugar glider, or hedgehog, this is the perfect place for you. And for those of you looking to rehome one of those animals, check out our resources page BEFORE you make your final decision. If rehoming is still the best option, rest easy knowing this is the safest platform on the market.
(Our list of available animal species is always growing, so if we don’t currently have what you’re looking for, make sure you check back.)View Adoptables Learn More

Because pets are family
Pets can make us feel like the most important person in the world without saying a word. They’re a furry shoulder to cry on and a best friend when few can be found. What anyone who has ever owned a pet understands is that a pet is not just an animal in your home, it’s a part of your family.About Us
